Ever wonder how simple pencil sketches evolve into lovable animated characters? Come join local artist Melanie Rathman as she guides us into discovering fundamental 2D animation character design. This class will give participants an idea of how character design is developed in the animation process. 

Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Media Arts & Animation from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. While employed with The Walt Disney Company’s Disney Stores, she hosted Art of Animation events teaching basic Disney character design.

Participants will be supplied with erasable pencils and drawing paper. Program fee is $15 cash or check at the door.
