Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps

Google Maps of their day, Sanborn maps are detailed maps of cities and towns in the United States that were created for assessing fire insurance liability in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. They provide information about the layout of cities and towns, including street names, building footprints, and the locations of businesses and other landmarks.
