Program Description

Event Details

Participants will learn the basics of fusion360 CAD software from expert maker, Ian Lucas.   Self-taught in many disciplines with an unhealthy obsession for tools and a creative streak, Ian has been using Fusion360 to create and prototype many of his maker projects. Ceiling lamps or project enclosures, Christmas gifts or "catios," making it is so much better than buying it!

Fusion360 is a parametric computer aided design program. It's free for personal use and will allow you to create designs for many types of manufacturing such as 3d printing, CNC machining, and laser cutting.  It will be a powerful tool in your maker tool box.

This class will focus on the basics of fusion360 for household repairs using 3d printing.  Students will take a real world broken object and recreate it in 3D so a replacement part can be printed.  The broken part will be provided for the class.

Wouldn't it be nice to just print that knob for the stove that broke instead of waiting for one in the mail?  Take this class at The Forge and you can!
