Program Description
Event Details
Participants will learn the basics of fusion360 CAD software from expert maker, Ian Lucas. Self-taught in many disciplines with an unhealthy obsession for tools and a creative streak, Ian has been using Fusion360 to create and prototype many of his maker projects. Ceiling lamps or project enclosures, Christmas gifts or "catios," making it is so much better than buying it!
Fusion360 is a parametric computer aided design program. It's free for personal use and will allow you to create designs for many types of manufacturing such as 3d printing, CNC machining, and laser cutting. It will be a powerful tool in your maker tool box.
A NOTE FROM IAN: Please bring a laptop with fusion 360 installed with a free personal license. A mouse makes things easier, but if someone wants to use a touchpad Ian won't stop them. If you have calipers (digital or veneer) it would be good to bring those as well, but a few will be on hand to share.
