Event Details
This beginner-friendly class taught by Ian Lucas provides an introduction to Autodesk Fusion 360, covering fundamental concepts in 3D modeling and CAD software. You will learn the essential tools, interface navigation, and best practices needed to successfully design and prepare your first models for 3D printing or manufacturing. Fusion360 is a parametric computer aided design program, It's free for personal use and will allow you to create designs for many types of manufacturing such as 3d printing, CNC machining and laser cutting. It will be a powerful tool in your maker tool box.
Ian has been using Fusion360 to create and prototype many of his maker projects. Ceiling lamps or project enclosures, and Christmas gifts, making it is so much better than buying it.
It would be helpful if participants brought their own laptop and mouse with Fusion 360 installed with a free personal license. Learn more here.
If you have calipers (digital or veneer) it would be good to bring them; however, Ian will have a few spares to share.
