Event Details

This class will provide the basics of acrylic painting including information on brushes, types of paints, painting preparation and painting instruction. Each participant will be provided with a painting information handout, a teaching guide for in-class and home practice, and all materials needed to produce a painted glass. Each participant must bring one glass of their choice (wine, iced tea, beer, etc.) and will be instructed on how to bake it at home to make the paint permanent and top shelf dishwasher safe.

There is a $20 materials fee, which must be paid in advance. Please note that this class will be cancelled if there are fewer than 5 participants.

Peg Lesch was born and raised in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh and attended Slippery Rock University, earning dual degrees in Elementary and Special Education. She taught emotionally disturbed children for 7 years before moving to Florida where she taught at a center for Psychiatrically involved students and retired 35 years later. Peg never painted before the age of 50 when a friend took a class at Michael's and taught her. Never say never! Since then Peg has been painting as a hobby, making gifts for others, selling items at craft fairs and teaching small group painting classes.
