Event Details

Please join us on Wednesday, February 23 at 6:30 pm, when local presidential historian Stephen Mihaly will present “Marketing The Presidency: A Visual Tour of 125 Years of Presidential Artifacts.”

Mr. Mihaly, of Gibsonia, Pa., has been a collector of political memorabilia for over 50 years and holds one of the largest privately held collections of such material in the country. He and his collection have been featured in numerous magazines and newspapers across the country, as well as multiple appearances on TV and radio.

The Marketing The Presidency presentation is a fun look at all the sometimes odd and bizarre artifacts presidential candidates have produced to try and get folks to vote for them.

Among the 300 pieces you’ll see from his collection are a Teddy Roosevelt cast iron door stop, a Franklin Roosevelt stove pot cover that glows back at you, bars of “Clean Up With Ike” soap, and a Richard Nixon shower head where the water comes streaming from his mouth.

Come spend a fun hour revisiting campaigns of the past and the artifacts from those campaigns!
