Program Description

Event Details

Do you have a bunch of old cotton t-shirts laying around?  How about joining artist, Meg Firster and breathe new life into those shirts by turning them into yarn?  Meg will walk us through how to cut the shirts in order to create a continuous strip of fabric and then create a headband or bracelet.

You will need to bring your own 100% cotton t-shirts as blends and other materials such as rayon or polyester do not stretch and curl appropriately.  Meg highly recommends shirts that do not have side seams, screen printing on the center front or back (above or on the the sleeves is fine.)  The Forge will supply fabric scissors or rotary cutters, self-healing mats, and hot glue guns.
