Discover the magic of bringing characters to life!

This multi-day course will teach you how to make your very own Muppet-style puppet! A lot goes into making a high quality puppet – colorful faux fur, wooden eyes, embellishments, and armature are just the beginning. Using all of these materials along with equipment in The Forge, our maker team will guide you through the steps to make your very own hand and rod puppet. Reading a simple pattern, hand and machine stitching, and using a Japanese saw are just some of the skills you will learn along the way. No glues guns here!

This workshop runs for 4 days: Monday, July 22 through Wednesday, July 24 from 10am-12:30pm AND Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 10-11:30am.

NOTE: Each participant's puppet will be unique to them! The basic puppet pattern will be the same for everyone, but participants choose their fur and arm colors and their own embellishments. Each character will come to life in their very own style!

$177.00 per person includes all materials and instructor fees.
